Thunder 3v3 Academy Director of Coaching!

Larry Graiber has enjoyed coaching youth soccer for over 12 years from ages U5 to U16 and at all levels. Past players have gone on to play on nationally ranked teams with the best clubs in the nation such as Chicago Magic, Chicago Fire Juniors Pre-Academy, Chicago Fire Academy, Galaxy, Eclipse, and Chicago Blast. Many of Larry's past players have been selected to participate in the Olympic Development Program (ODP) state and regional pools as well as US Club Soccer Local and National selection ID camps. Larry had 4 players on the Illinois 1998 US Club National Team. The Thunder is not a club replacement but provides supplemental training all year round.

Larry was coached by Mike Matkovich the co-founder of Chicago Magic, current assistant coach of the MLS professional team Chicago Fire and was head coach of the U-18 US National Team as well as Alex Hernandez past Lewis University coach and co-founder of the Chicago Magic.

Larry has earned his Youth Coaching Module and the E Certificate from the Illinois Youth Soccer Association(IYSA). In addition to class and field training, Larry continues his education both on and off the field. Larry is a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America(NSCAA). In addition to US based education, Larry incorporates many US methods as well as several International Training Styles into his training sessions.
